I couldn’t have imagined a better spot for a short or extended holiday in the island of Spetses than the Nissia Hotel. Ideal location, since it is located seafront, just 3 minute walking from Dapia, the port, as well as the restaurants, bars and shops of the island. Ideal rooms, suites, studios, whatever a guest needs, whether they are just with their partners or family with babies. Ideal surrounding, with a very well maintained garden and a big swimming pool where they have provided a special section with shallow waters for little kids. Absolute protection against covid-19, since they follow all the measures required. Ideal hospitality from the hotel suff, headed by the owners Katerina and Antonis who make you feel at home every moment. For me the Nissia Hotel is the definition of an island hotel: From the moment you pass the well preserved traditional facade, you find the aura of summer and a great hospitality. Thank you so much! And so long!
My friends and I had a wonderful experience at Nissia. Every staff member from the check- in to the cleaning staff was delightful and eager to help us!

Spent the Easter vacation with my wife and kids, the environment is magnificent, clean, rooms are spacious and quiet, staff was very polite, breakfast was superb – scrambled eggs were the best ever had, the veranda view is the best you can have in the island and the pool large enough for a good swim. Location is few minutes walk from the centre, can also walk to the old harbour and cozy restaurants. Cannot wait to go again for our summer vacation.
We was determined to get to one of our favourite islands (and favourite hotels) this summer despite me going down with Covid which meant we had to delay our outbound flight by 24hrs!!
From the moment we boarded the water taxi at Kosta and approached the Nissia Hotel on Spetses we knew our holiday had started. It was good to see the familiar faces still working at the Nissia and we was very pleased with our room which accommodated my wife and I and our 16yr old son.
We felt incredibly safe at the hotel throughout our stay (in relation to Covid), breakfast every morning on the terrace was as magical as ever helped with the banter from Dimmitri.
As usual the hotel kindly organised a quad bike and push bike for us, the best way to get around the island.
Dimmitri gave us an excellent taverna recommendation which we had not been to before, Taverna Panchi – very Greek and all barbecued meat, delish!!!
We spent a number of days just chilling around the lovely pool and when we did lunch was always of good quality.
The holiday was topped off with a two night stay in one of the Tower Rooms which was very memorable, what a terrace (see photos).
The only negative about the holiday is the evening restaurant which we didn’t use. This is run by different people who are not as friendly as the hotel staff in my opinion and it’s a shame you cannot have drinks in the evening on your hotel bill (or on the breakfast terrace) as you have to pay the restaurant people direct.
This will not stop us visiting again and we very much hope to be seeing you next summer. Thanks to all the hotel staff for helping us have a memorable summer in Spetses this year! ️
I had wonderful 4 days and knigts in this elegant hotel, which is absolutely clean and friendly for every kind of vacations. People who are responsible for pleasure of their visitors ara 100% professionals. It is very important also that they care for every moment of their guests, element that confirms every mnute the famous greek hospitality. I m sure that there is no reason for me to stay in any other hotel in Spetses Island next time i ii be there. Hotel Nissia anyway is a very important reason to choose Spetses for vacation.
This hotels is beautiful! Lovely suites that are like small houses. LOADS of space, air con throughout, full kitchen, high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail re Covid (even the TV & air con controls were wrapped in a plastic covering)! The garden is gorgeous and lush and the pool is just perfect! Staff is courteous, friendly and all wearing masks properly (not just over the mouth). Breakfast bar is well stocked and behind a glass or perspex plate (due to Covid). The waitress explains what is available and serves it for you. I like their attention to detail regarding Covid because I feel that the same attention is applied everywhere. This is a really lovely hotel, walking distance from the town and right on the seafront. Although we were only there as a couple the hotel is family friendly with a kid’s pool right by the main pool (useful for the parents, if I look back to when our kids were small). We had a very relaxing time here and I would certainly suggest you stay at Nissia if you’re in Spetses! We’ll certainly be back!

The hotel is located 3 min from the main town of Spetses offering a peaceful and secluded environment within the resort as well as a strategic location from which one can explore the whole island on foot.
It offers 5 star services while complying with all covid-19 regulations following the regional sanitation guidelines “Health First” (Greece). A professional cleaning service is disinfecting the property around the clock thus guaranteeing the implementation of excellent cleaning processes.
The hotel is an exquisite destination for couples offering the privacy of a dip in the pool as well as sublime swimming in the sea located in front of the hotel.
Families will also find the resort ideal as it provides accommodation in detached suite residences fully equipped with a kitchenette (fridge + electric kettle), LCD satellite TV, air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi access in all of the resort’s premises. A pool for children is also available as part of the main pool (25m long).
The hotel offers english breakfast including fresh juices, fruits and a variety of home-made delicacies.
Truly a place not to miss when visiting the island of Spetses!
We have just returned from the best part of a two week holiday in Greece and we spent our first seven nights at this lovely family resort on the beautiful island of Spetses.
I must have stayed there now about five times. It’s a superb location (close to the beach and the port / centre) with excellent self catering accommodation centred around a lovely swimming pool. The staff are just lovely with a special mention to Dimitri, who serves breakfast, runs the bar and sorts out transfers to and from the port. It’s always nice to be greeted at a hotel by familiar faces!
The accommodation is as lovely and spotless as ever and what particularly impressed my wife and I was the Covid measures that were in place which made us feel very safe in these worrying times.
We most definitely will return possibly with the Pirate from Poros next time (my father!)

Decided to visit Spetses last weekend and to stay at the hotel Nissia. Not the first time I stayed there but because I had an excellent stay the previous years decided to return to this particular hotel.
The breakfast was amazing, the hospitality impeccable and the way they made me feel safe as a guest at these turbulent times made me feel like home! I could not recommend it more! Definitely planning on returning!
The Superior Studio we booked was located in the beautiful gardens, where it was very quiet. Large comfortable room with kitchen, with excellent air conditioning and comfortable King bed. Lovely large and well maintained pool, with comfortable lounges – great after a long sunny walk along the seaboard.
The restaurant overlooking the sea served a very satisfying breakfast by friendly staff, with lots of choices. Close to restaurants and tavernas, including those receiving good reviews.
